My name is Carl Levin and I’ve been serving the direct marketing industry for more than 25 years.
Mass marketing and direct marketing are the two dominant forms of marketing. They have been around for many decades and involve the use of traditional media, such as TV, print, telephone, and radio to expand a company’s brand awareness and attract new consumers.
The difference between the two types is that direct marketing is more targeted. Campaigns are focused on specific niches and demographics, for example. And there is a concerted effort to measure and track consumer actions such as responses to a specific offer, number of phone calls, and other data points. This data can then be used to further refine offers, sales letters, or campaigns to improve results.
E-Marketing takes the strategies and principles associated with direct marketing and applies them to the internet. For example, one of the great things about e-marketing when compared to traditional direct marketing is that testing can often be less expensive and you can gauge the success of a campaign much faster.
All-in-all, if you do e-marketing correctly, you’re certain to get a much higher return on your investment.
The mission of E-MPS.org is to share some of the new world techniques and strategies for helping you grow your business, especially if it’s currently based in brick and mortar and you want to expand onto the Internet. I, along with a few associates, look forward to sharing our experiences and insights.
To your success.
